All hybrids are composites of just two hybrid designs - one 2-chip hybrid design and one 3-chip hybrid design. See below how each of the hybrid types are layed out. When two hybrid designs are put together to make one hybrid, all 30 signal traces on the left boundary of the right hybrid meet all 30 signal traces on the right boundary of the left hybrid to form a "highway" all the way across the hybrid. All 30 signals branch off of the highway to each chip and to each connector field.
